Jinfiniti Set to Release New Blood Biomarker Test
October 23, 2022
- Jinfiniti and its founder, Dr. Jin-Xiong She, are preparing to offer a new biomarker test.
- The AgingSOS testing kit features nine biomarkers that can be used to determine a user’s biological age.
- Through these new biomarkers, researchers may be able to recommend diet and lifestyle changes to help users combat rapid aging.
Jinfiniti, a spin-out of Augusta University, is set to debut a new set of biomarkers that could help patients understand their aging health. Jinfiniti began operations in 2018 with $500,000 in seed funding. The company’s main product, the AgingSOS testing kit, features nine blood-based biomarkers that can give useful insight into how dietary and lifestyle changes can improve their health.
According to Jinfiniti’s founder, Dr. Jin-Xiong She, the company’s products could be used as a method to test whether longevity supplements and other treatments are effective. “The development of anti-aging products is a long game,” said Dr. She, “you may have to wait four decades before you know whether you are actually increasing the longevity of people.”
Dr. She also hopes to use Jinfiniti’s technology to better identify real-time solutions to rapid aging. While the company’s line of products has utility when testing the effectiveness of longevity solutions, it is challenging to monetize such long-term research. However, Dr. She hopes to market the technology directly to consumers who wish to improve their diet or lifestyles to combat the effects of rapid aging.
Jinfiniti plans to market its products directly to consumers and implement a B2B model working with companies that produce supplements. In addition, Jinfiniti recently announced it would pursue a B2B2C model targeting functional medicine clinics.
The AgingSOS test kit will measure essential micronutrients, epigenetic alteration, cellular senescence, inflammation, and oxidative stress. These biomarkers will indicate probable causes of rapid aging and age-related disease. Currently, Jinfiniti is planning to launch beta testing of its new biomarker platform. Ideally, the tests will be ready to go to market after four to six months of testing.
